All five baby chickens are developing their own unique personalities. Unfortunately, we have not named the baby chickens yet. We would love your help. Your task is to find names for the new baby chickens. We have numbered them and provided descriptions of their traits. Just click on the comment box and give us your suggestions for name.
Chicken #1 - The australorp is the sturdiest built of the bunch. She is also the sweetest in personality and disposition. She is very calm and easy going. She has black eyes and a black beak. She was the first to take a dirt bath. She does not like to be alone and cries when she is by herself.
Chicken #2 - The coco colored Easter egger is smaller, but still adventurous. She is struggling for dominance, and froze in terror when she got caught under the plastic cover of the green house.
Chicken #3 - The welsummer is the most feminine in looks. She tries to be leader of the pack, and is most proficient at dirt bathing. Her toenails are painted black at the tips. She also has a slight case of narcolepsy and will happily sleep anywhere she can.
Chicken #4 – The gray Easter egger is rowdy, adventurous, independent, fast growing, and the most confident of the flock. She was the first to greet our adult hens with no hesitation. She also has a tuft of blue feather on her rear end.
Chicken #5 - The dominique is friendly and laid back. She has a dot of yellow feathers on top of her head. Her wings are just now starting to exhibit their traditional black and white checker board pattern. She was the first to learn to sharpen her beak and has a black velvet appearance.
